An abbrevation for Veteran's Administration
VA Loan
A mortgage made by an approved lender and guaranteed by the Department of Veteran Affairs.
Variable Interest Rate
The percentage at which a borrower borrows money. This interest rate fluctuates depending on the terms of the loan or mortgage.
Variable Rate Mortgage
A home loan where the interest rate changes periodically based on the loan terms.
Verification of Deposit (VOD)
Confirmation from a bank or financial institution proving the borrower is telling the truth regarding his or her assets.
Verification of Employment (VOE)
Confirmation that a borrower is telling the truth regarding his or her past and current job(s).
Verification of Mortgage (VOM)
Confirmation from a lender or lending institution holding a borrower's loan reflecting the payment history of his or her mortgage.
Verification of Rent (VOR)
Confirmation from a borrower's previous and current landlord(s) regarding his or her rental history.
Veteran's Administration
Currently called the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs which oversees VA loans. This is a benefit to veterans helping them purchase homes or properties with no down payment. |
